Dao's Care Spa

Dao's Care was established in 2016 as a social enterprise in Hanoi. Its stated model is to employ vulnerable people, particularly the visually impaired and members of ethnic minorities, train them as therapists and offer traditional Red Dao herbal baths in the capital for people who cannot travel to Ta Phin village near Sapa. The main branch is at 351 Hoang Hoa Tham in Ba Dinh District, with a second branch in alley 20 Quang Khanh in Tay Ho.

The signature service is the Red Dao herbal bath, a 15 to 30 minute soak in a wooden tub using a herbal recipe from the Red Dao people of Ta Phin. Massage options include The Zen massage, a herbal massage, The Dao acupressure massage with or without oil, Swedish, hot stone and prenatal massages, foot therapy, and targeted neck, shoulder, head, hand and belly treatments. Packages combine a herbal bath with massage and foot work.

Published prices start at 180,000 VND for the herbal bath and 350,000 VND for a 60-minute Swedish massage, with a 100,000 VND surcharge for a private room and discounts for combining two or three services. The spa opens daily from 9am to 9pm except Tuesdays, with the last 60-minute booking at 8pm, and also runs office massage, in-home massage and massage training programmes.
