Our take

A well-reviewed, fairly priced head-spa and massage branch west of the centre with an all-in menu; beds are curtained rather than private, and walk-ins can wait.

Nhà Spa is a small Hanoi spa brand named after the Vietnamese word for home, and it styles its rooms as a small resort in the city, with warm wood, plants and running water. The Hongkong Tower branch is in Lobby B of the building at 1 Cau Giay, in Lang ward, outside the Old Quarter. The brand runs two other branches, at 75 Hang Ma and 19 Cua Dong, both in the Old Quarter.

The menu is built around Vietnamese herbal head spa with mugwort, plus oil body massage, foot and neck-shoulder massage, and facials. Body massage costs 400,000 VND for 60 minutes and 550,000 VND for 90, and hot stones add 50,000 VND. Three named combos run 75 to 130 minutes and cost 650,000 to 950,000 VND at current discounted prices. The spa says all prices are posted publicly and that there are no hidden fees.

Public reviews often describe the Hongkong Tower branch as calmer and less crowded than the Old Quarter branches. They praise the head spa and scalp care, and many name individual therapists as skilled and attentive. Common complaints are therapists not sticking to the focus areas guests asked for and little aftercare, such as water after the session. There are no private rooms: each bed is closed off with curtains, and groups can be given beds side by side.
